The Omega x Swatch MoonSwatch Collaboration Just Got Even Better

Ask a watch guru about their favorite watch collabs, and the Swatch x Omega MoonSwatch phenomenon will certainly be in the mix. Now, the affordable link-up—which has successfully brought together two legendary brands on different ends of the price spectrum—is amplifying things in 2025 with some updated straps.

Swatch and Omega first partnered in 2022, and the cost has always been on the affordable side (the recent Mission To Earthphase model clocked in under $300), most models have been super hard to get your hands on with the Moonshine Gold release fetching upwards of $1,000 on the secondary market. But to start the new year, rather than dropping a new watch, Swatch has just dropped some bi-color rubber straps with quick-release features. An equally hardy alternative to the usual velcro strap, there are loads of different colors to pick from, including navy blue/ blue rubber, red/white rubber, orange/sand rubber, dark blue/green rubber, white/yellow rubber, black/grey rubber, bordeaux/light grey, pink/white rubber, brown/beige rubber, blue/white rubber, and grey/black rubber. They are priced at $45 and you can shop them all here.

The new straps have a durable Bioceramic loop and velcro closure to ensure your MoonSwatch stays how you want it on your wrist. The top of the strap nods to the watches’ moon-tracking features with a nifty textured surface resembling a space suit, which makes sense when you factor in the moonphase feature (it allows the wearer to track the different cycles of the moon) on some of the latest MoonSwatch releases.

Rubber straps are great for a daily driver, designed with the wear and tear of regular use in mind. These are particularly easy to clean and maintain. Plus, when it comes to replacing the strap, the latest MoonSwatches come with a specialized tool to make it even easier. At just $45 a strap, we expect to see the bright and bold types loading up so that they can mix and match.

Omega and Swatch’s Bioceramic bad boy has a fair few celebrity fans, including football god Zlatan Ibrahimovic (who rocked the Mission to Mars release) and even super-collector Ed Sheeran wore the baseline Mission to the Moon model. No matter if you’re Sheeran or just a local Omega fanboy, these new straps are sure to spice up whatever mission you’re on.
